Playathon 2019

This year's Playathon was a great success! The raffle tickets and bake sale items generated funds to help support future music program needs; many parents and others volunteered; and the music was fantastic. For more pictures please click on the link: Plaython 2019 Pictures

Children's Concert

Last month with Ms. Kunzelman conducting, wind ensemble and concert bands treated several hundred 2nd and 3rd graders from Burlingame to an outstanding performance. Band staff (Madison Kong, Katrina Lee, Eric Broman, Ben Sherstinsky, Eugenia Zhang, Grace Shin and Cherilyn Yu) introduced pieces from Star Wars, Mulan, Aladdin, Pocahontas and various Pixar movies. The band staff skillfully engaged the crowd when presenting and describing each instrument. Children seemed particularly enthusiastic about the "Harry Potter" theme music as demonstrated on bells by Verona Teo and "Frozen" songs performed on clarinet by Gracy Burdick and Eugenia Zhang and on bassoon by Eric Broman and Declan Parker. The hands-down favorite, however, were Justin Hee and Bing Lin playing a "Mario Bros." tune on oboe.
